Title: Dimensions Dashboards: Perspectives, Insights, and More for Institutions
Abstract: This presentation will provide an overview and the latest developments on the Dimensions database to contextualize research better in order to bring down barriers to generate data insights. It examines how Dimensions on Google BigQuery increases context in the scientometric study and helps impact assessment. Further showcases include the latest applications in scientometric research and dashboard development with a focus on institutional insights, landscape discovery, and research integrity.
Bio: Dr. Juergen Wastl is the Director of Academic Relations and Consultancy leading in supporting research institutions, funders, governments, and other institutions with research capabilities to make better use of data to inform their strategies and decisions. Juergen headed the team that developed the Sustainable Development Goals classification for Dimensions and spearheads investigations and innovative analysis based on the UN SDGs. He is also Associate Director at the Research on Research Institute (RoRI) and he has considerable experience in all matters associated with research evaluation, assessment, and interoperability.
