Title: Comparing models for reconstructing the Ecuadorian production network
Abstract: Exponential Random Graphs (ERGs) models, based on the constrained maximization of Shannon Entropy, have been successfully applied to reconstruct networks from partial information in a variety of different contexts, from the International Trade to the Italian Interbank network (e-MID). In this work, we test the ability of a recently proposed model, specifically designed for supply chains, to reconstruct the Ecuadorian production network. Results show that the model, despite making use of a small amount of information on the empirical graph, is able to recover the main features of the network, with regard to both structural properties and systemic risk.
