Abstract:
Most businesses, research institutions, and organizations rely heavily on an intangible asset: their employees’ knowledge. Despite its importance, little is known about where knowledge is found and how it is transmitted. The Kouzan app aims to change this by making knowledge flows visible and permanently recording them. For more than two years, a prototype of the Kouzan app has been running at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna and the Sony Computer Science Labs Paris. In this talk, we present our analysis and findings on knowledge transfer in these institutions.
Furthermore, we will announce the next version of the application, which has undergone extensive rework. We are introducing a new social experiment with the relaunch of the application: Can we model how knowledge and ideas are created and transferred in our organization?
