Title: Stochastic thermodynamics of complex systems
Abstract:
The talk presents some recent advances in the stochastic thermodynamics of complex systems. After a general introduction to stochastic thermodynamics, where we review the main results of stochastic thermodynamics, we will focus on two particular classes of complex systems. First, we will discuss the thermodynamics of structure-forming systems. By careful characterization of its sample space, we derive the entropy for structure-forming systems. We apply the results to several example systems, including self-assembly of colloidal amphibolic particles or Curie-Weiss model with molecule states. We also derive the extension of the results to stochastic thermodynamics. Finally, we also briefly mention the extension of stochastic thermodynamics to non-linear systems.
