Abstract
This workshop seeks to contribute to the foundation of the new discipline of Machine Behavior: the scientific study of behavior exhibited by intelligent machines. This discipline will study intelligent software and hardware agents not as products of engineering, but as actors that should be empirically analyzed to reveal their behavioral patterns.
The workshop will bring together an interdisciplinary set of pioneers in the study of the behavior of intelligent agents to set the research agenda to follow in the next years. They will add an extra focus on how to tackle the inherent complexity of expert systems, intractable software, and multi-agent systems in which software bots coexist and interact with humans.
