Anna Di Natale was a PhD candidate at the Complexity Science Hub.

Anna graduated in mathematics at Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. In her master’s thesis, entitled “Stochastic models and graph theory for Zipf’s law”, she analysed the insurgence of power-laws in language (in particular Zipf’s law) and tried to understand the features linked to the changing slope of the frequency-rank law.

Anna’s main research interests are data analysis, text mining, sentiment analysis and computational linguistics. Currently she is working on the project “Emotional well-being in the digital society”, investigating digital traces of emotions and well-being in online media.

She is also pursuing her PhD at the Section for Science of Complex Systems at the Medical University of Vienna.
