Gavrila Amadea

PhD Candidate, University of Veterinary Medicine Vienna & CSH Vienna

Gavrila Amadea has been a PhD Candidate at the University Veterinary Medicine Vienna and the Complexity Science Hub Vienna since January 2022. She received her MSc degree in Infectious Diseases and One Health from Erasmus Mundus joint master degree, which includes Université de Tours (France), Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), and University of Edinburgh (UK).


Gavrila worked with the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations for the live bird markets surveillance project.


Her research interests include animals and zoonotic diseases, veterinary epidemiology, modeling infectious diseases, the one health approach, and disease mitigation.
