Markus Strauss has been part of the data scientist team at the Hub since January 2018. He is currently completing the master’s programme “computational science” at the University of Vienna with an emphasis on machine learning and data mining. In his master thesis Markus works on forecasting the future disease risk of multimorbid patients. The thesis is supervised by CSH Faculty member Peter Klimek.
Before joining the Hub, Markus gained experience in information technology and software development for more than 15 years. In 2015 he received his bachelor of science for his studies in physics at the University of Vienna with a focus on computational physics and complex systems.
