PhD Candidate, CSH Vienna
Ola Ali has been a PhD Candidate at the Complexity Hub since 2022, researching the dynamics of migrant networks with the aim of identifying the driving factors of migration and examining its impact on the social, economic and political structures of both origin and destination countries.
Through the application of network theory, statistical physics, and odata science methods, Ola hopes to provide valuable insights that can inform policy-making and promote holistic, equitable and effective solutions to migration-related issues.
Ola holds a B.S. in Physics from Cairo University and a Masters in the Physics of Complex Systems from IFISC (CSIC-UIB). Her Master’s thesis investigated the economic impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic through the lens of network science.
In addition to her academic background, Ola also has experience in business and organizational development.
