Sabine Seidler

Sabine Seidler, Rector of TU Wien, is Vice President of the Complexity Science Hub Vienna.
Born in Germany, Sabine Seidler studied materials science at the technical university Leuna-Merseburg. Her main research interests are in the field of polymer testing, fracture mechanics and structure-property correlations in polymers.
In 1996, Sabine Seidler moved to Vienna to work as professor at TU Wien, where she became vice-chancellor for research in 2007. Since 2011, she is elected Rector of TU Wien. She is member of the Supervisory Board of the Helmholtz-Zentrum Berlin für Materialien und Energie GmbH. In 2014 she earned the H.F. Mark-Medal.
