Stefan Kitzler

Stefan Kitzler joined the Complexity Science Hub as a PhD candidate in May 2021.

He received a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in technical physics from TU Wien. During his studies, he did an internship at the Austrian Institute of Technology (AIT) and continued the cooperation with the AIT for his master’s thesis. For this work, titled “Reliability in power electronics for electric energy converters”, Stefan developed a modular simulation for the lifetime estimation of a power converter for photovoltaic applications.

After his graduation in 2018, Stefan worked in the Austrian energy market on computational projects for the power and gas clearing.

Stefan’s research interests center around data analysis and simulations. Currently, he works with Bernhard Haslhofer on cryptoasset analytics.
