Tobias Batik has been working as a Data Visualization Specialist at the Complexity Science Hub since March 2023.

He received his bachelor’s degree in media informatics and visual computing from TU Wien and is currently in the final stages of his master’s degree in media and human-centered computing, also at TU Wien.

In the course of his master thesis project, he is developing a new haptic device for virtual reality. During his studies he has also worked on finding new approaches for schematic graph visualizations as well as ideas for digital font systems.

In addition to his academic education, he has worked on graphic- and interaction design projects within the last years. He is interested in interactive visualizations, geometric algorithms and human-computer interaction, particularly virtual reality.
