Tom Carlowitz

Tom Carlowitz graduated with a bachelor degree in business and economics from Dresden University of Technology. Throughout his studies, he completed additional courses in theoretical physics and computational social science.
Tom completed a research internship at the Complexity Science Hub Vienna in 2018, where he worked under the supervision of David Garcia on the project “The Health Effects of Food Price Inflation in Africa.” Tom’s main research interests in the field of complexity science are complexity economics, social data science and Big Data econometrics.
Tom is also an organizer of the YSI Complexity Economics Working Group of the Institute of New Economic Thinking.
