The CSH Workshop “Re-inventing Society in the Digital Age” was held on May 8 and 9, 2017, and concluded with a public lecture program on the second day that was very well attended. After the welcome of CSH’s president Stefan Thurner and the introductory talk by Helga Nowotny, Chair of CSH’s Science Advisory Board, Dirk Helbing introduced the numerous attendees to the topic. There were exciting, humorous, and sometimes even a bit frightening talks during the day.
